On Tuesday, January 17th, 2023, the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning and the Forum of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Business Membership Organizations of Nigeria, MSME FORUM, signed a Memorandum of Understanding that formalized the working relationship between the two partners.
The ceremony, which was well attended by both sides, took place in the conference room of the Budget and National Planning division of the Ministry. Alhaji Garba Ibrahim Gusau, the National President led the MSME FORUM team comprising three members of the Board of Trustees (Dr. Caroline Nwosu, Barr Vera Ndanusa, and Barr Fidelis Ogbu) and six members of the Technical Committee, namely, Mr. Olusegun Adeleke, Mr. Joseph Attah, Dr. Francis Alaneme, Dr. Linus Obinna, Barr Ibrahim Atukpa and Engineer Marvyse Ogba.
The Honorable Minister of State, Mr. Clem Agba signed the document on behalf of the Ministry, while the National President, Alhaji Garba Ibrahim Gusau and Secretary, Governing Council, Barrister Vera Ndanusa, signed on behalf of the MSME FORUM. The ultimate goal of the MOU is to ensure the building of a strong partnership with the Ministry for the purpose of developing and strengthening the MSME FORUM and the Business Membership Organizations {BMOs). The document spelt out mutual responsibilities to be carried out to achieve this goal.
