Alh. Garba Ibrahim Gusau

Alhaji Garba is an Economist, a Banker and Entrepreneur. He retired from the Central Bank of Nigeria as Director of Development Finance Department. Prior to that, Alhaji Garba was the Director in charge of Special Duties at the Bank.
As a Professional Banker with the Nigeria’s Central Bank, Alhaji Garba was exposed to different aspects of the Bank’s operations and Commodities Division as well as the Project Manager in charge of State Agricultural and Agro-Allied Projects in the Country.

He represented the CBN at high level inter-ministerial and Multi-lateral Committees both locally and internationally. He is the Immediate past National President of the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises which is jointly promoted by both the organized Private Sector and the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Alhaji Garba attended New Mexico University in the USA for both his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and the Masters of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics. He holds the Post Graduate Certificate in Management of the Manchester Business School, UK and attended Executive Programmes at the Harvard University, USA, the University of Oxford, UK as well as the School of Government in the USA.

Alhaji Garba is a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, the Nigeria Economics Society and the Nigeria Institute of Management. In appreciation of his distinguished service to Nigeria, Alhaji Garba Gusau Ibrahim was awarded a National Honour as Member of the Federal Republic (MFR).

Alhaji Garba has brought to the Governing Council of the Forum of MSME viable career from both the public and the private sectors of Nigerian economy.
